Your library, with context.
This is how the current Sightroom beta handles data.
Library access
Sightroom requires sign-in and workspace membership to access images and metadata. Workspace members share images, collections, tags, and attributed notes. Ratings and favorites are visible only to their author. Owners manage membership.
Storage and sign-in
Original files and previews are stored privately in Cloudflare R2. Account and library records are stored in Neon PostgreSQL. WorkOS handles authentication. Sightroom uses an HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in.
Beta requests
The beta form stores your email address and any optional name or use case you provide. These details are used to manage beta invitations and beta updates, not displayed publicly.
Page analytics
The marketing page records daily totals for a defined set of page and button events. This event table does not contain your email, IP address, browsing history, or a visitor identifier. Do Not Track is respected by the event client. Hosting providers may process ordinary operational request logs.
Your images
Uploaded originals are preserved until deleted. Trash is retained for 30 days unless an owner permanently deletes an item earlier. Individual originals can be downloaded; full library export is planned. Only upload or import images you have permission to use.
Beta limitations
Sightroom is an early private beta. Automated enrichment and semantic search are not active features. This page describes current product behavior and will be updated as that changes.
